India’s incoming government needs to focus on infrastructure and economic diplomacy in order to meet the challenge of China, an executive of a prominent India think tank said. “India needs to build its own infrastructure links…..that has to be done,” said Manjeet Kripalani, executive director of Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations. “We’ve fallen behind. We have to use economic diplomacy. We also need to energise trade in South Asia.”
