The 35th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Council of Ministers’ Meeting will be held in Malé from February 17-20. In attendance will be the foreign ministers of the SAARC countries – India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Discussions on trade and counter-terrorism issues are expected to be on the agenda for the meeting. The meeting will also pave the way for the 18th SAARC summit which is expected to be held in Nepal this year.
