On June 14, Sameer Patil, Associate Fellow, National Security, Ethnic Conflict & Terrorism Studies, Gateway House was at the 8th India Trilateral Forum organised by the German Marshall Fund (GMF) of the United States in association with the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Stockholm, Sweden. He spoke on India’s cyber security challenges with a focus on critical infrastructure and Privacy Law.
GMF initiated the India Trilateral Forum in 2010 to foster regular dialogue between Americans, Europeans and Indians on strategic, economic and governance issues, as well as shared challenges. It is a bi-annual event.
Prior to joining Gateway House, Sameer Patil was Assistant Director at the National Security Council Secretariat in Prime Minister’s Office, New Delhi. He has written extensively on various aspects of national security including cyber security, fake currency, terrorism, India-Pakistan relations, India-China relations, the Kashmir issue and nuclear proliferation.
