The 8th NASSCOM-Data Security Council of India (DSCI) Annual Information Security Summit (AISS) was held in New Delhi from December 10-12. On December 11, Sameer Patil, Associate Fellow, National Security, Gateway House, participated in a panel discussion, titled ‘Is the risk of cyber warfare overstated?’
The session was chaired by G. K. Pillai, Former Home Secretary, Government of India, and included discussions on a host of issues such as the impact of cyber attacks on national security, security vulnerabilities in critical information infrastructure, military reponse to cyber attacks, national positions on cyber warfare, among others.
