Neelam Deo, co-founder and director of Gateway House, delivered a talk on India and the United Nations Security Council at St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai on September 11, 2015.
She spoke to the students about the genesis and history of the UN Security Council. She also spoke about the challenges to the Council’s effective functioning, and emphasized the need for reform, particularly the need for expansion, within the Security Council. She concluded the talk by answering questions from students.
