Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a two day visit to South Korea on 22-23 February, 2019, where he met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in to discuss trade, investment, defence and security. An MoU was signed between India’s Home Ministry and South Korea’s National Police Agency to enhance cooperation in counter-terrorism. The two leaders committed to increasing bilateral trade to $50 billion by 2030. India and South Korea have also agreed to create a roadmap on defence technology and co-production with South Korean companies participating in the development of India’s defence industrial corridors.
