Sarmaya Talks- Bombay’s Jewish Communities

On 6^th August 2022, Sifra Lentin, Bombay History fellow at Gateway House, was one of the speakers at the Sarmaya Talks, along with Robert Stephens, held at Hamilton House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai. She spoke on the topic “Bombay’s Jewish Communities: Diaspora, Identity and History (19^th to 20^th century).” These include Baghdadi Jews and Bene-Israelis and their contributions to the city. Stephens, an architect and author, spoke on the topic “Bombay Imagined: The City of Unrealised Dreams” accompanied by archival plans and photographs.
