On 6-7 June, 2016, Sameer Patil, Fellow, National Security, Ethnic Conflict and Terrorism Studies, Gateway House, attended a national seminar on Countering Violent Extremism in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The seminar was organised by the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies of the Police University in partnership with the Rajasthan Police, Border Security Force and Central Reserve Police Force.
Sameer Patil spoke at two sessions of the seminar focused on community policing and the role of the paramilitaries in countering terrorism and violent extremism.
