On May 24, Akshay Mathur, Head of Research, Gateway House participated in the 9th Shanghai Forum hosted by the Fudan University in China. The theme for this year’s dialogue was Asia Transforms: Identifying new dynamics. The Shanghai Forum is an international economic forum hosted by Fudan University and sponsored by Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies. The Forum invites leaders and experts from all fields to discuss and provide insights and suggestions for Asia’s overall economic, political, social and cultural progress under the general theme of Economic Globalization and the Choice of Asia.
Akshay Mathur is the Head of Research at Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations. Prior to this, he was Principal Architect, Strategy and Architecture group of the Institutional and Retail Brokerage division, Fidelity Investments, Boston. He has an MBA (Honours) from Boston University with concentration in Finance and Business Analysis with a focus on Global Business and Global Macro Economics. He is also the co-founder of Aasra, an NGO based in Rajasthan.
