On 22 March, 2023, Gateway House and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Japan co-hosted a closed-door hybrid roundtable on ‘The Great Supply Chain Shift from China to South Asia?‘. The author of the working paper, Dr Ganeshan Wignaraja, Professorial Fellow, Economics and Trade at Gateway House, presented his thesis on the historical development of China-centric global supply chains in Asia, the factors driving outward shifts in China-centric global supply chains, and the prospects for South Asian countries.
