From May 12 – 14, 2019, the U.S Navy chief Admiral John Richardson was in India to meet Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba and other senior Navy and military officials. The purpose of the visit is to enhance the relationship between the two navies, especially given the tensions around China in the Indo-Pacific region.
