On September 15, Manjeet Kripalani, Executive Director, Gateway House, moderated a panel discussion at the World Trade Organization Public Forum. The panel on, ‘Technical and Regulatory Barriers to Trade: Why international digital services standards matter for sustainable trade’, discussed the need for global regulatory cooperation to harness the benefits of cross-border digital trade and interoperability. The panellists included Christine Bliss, President, Coalition of Services Industries, Jane Drake-Brockman, Director, Visiting Fellow, Australian Services Roundtable, Institute for International Trade, Janos Ferenz, Trade Policy Analyst, OECD Trade and Agriculture Directorate, and Quan Zhao, Trade Policy officer in the Division of Market Development, International Trade Centre (ITC).
