Gateway House, as part of its mission to engage Indian business and opinion leaders in dialogue on foreign policy issues, hosts and participates in a number of Track 1.5 and Track 2 dialogues with international partners to engage on issues relevant to the bilateral relation. These dialogues are attended by government officials, business executives and think tank scholars.
Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, Mumbai, and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Indonesia are co-hosting the India-Indonesia Track 1.5 Dialogue, on 23-24 September 2024, in Mumbai. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
On 22 November 2019, Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), Waterloo, Canada, hosted the second edition of the India-Canada Track 1.5 Dialogue on Innovation, Growth and Prosperity, in Mumbai. The event, which brought together experts, government officials and business leaders, was aimed at enabling diversification and growth of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
On 15 January 2018, Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, in collaboration with The Center for American Progress (CAP), hosted the launch of “The United States and India: Forging an Indispensable Democratic Partnership” a report developed by the Center for American Progress Task Force on U.S.-India Relations.
From 12-13 October 2017 Gateway House participated in a bilateral event between India and Russian Think Tanks
On 7 December 2016 Gateway House hosted the India-China Think Tanks Forum in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the Institute of Chinese Studies in Mumbai. The forum saw two roundtable discussions – one on Indo-Chinese cooperation on global economic governance and another on how India and China could steer global financial markets.
On 7 November 2016, Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, in collaboration with Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), hosted an India-EU dialogue on security as part of the year-long European Union-India Think Tank Twinning Initiative for 2016. Subsequent meetings on the India-EU bilateral were held in New Delhi, Rome and Brussels.
