India, China Summit Shows Need For Cooperation Despite Differences

Indian premier Narendra Modi makes a return visit to China this week, following Chinese President Xi’s trip to India last year. Both leaders will be keen to show a united front, despite their countries’ economic and diplomatic differences.

Beijing (Alliance News) – “India and China can achieve a lot together,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Wednesday, on the eve of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first trip to China as premier.

The leaders of the two predominant powers in mainland Asia have much to talk about during Modi’s three-day visit, with economic issues highest on the agenda.
